Richie and Jerrica’s wedding at the rustic Branch and Vine in Madera, California, was everything a farm country wedding should be. It was a beautiful crisp February day and they said their vows under a breathtaking wide blue sky, surrounded by orange groves and sweet smelling almond blossoms. These two love-birds are country born and raised and they wanted their wedding to represent their love for each other, America, and the small town country life that is dear to their hearts.
Richie and Jerrica met in high school but they fell in love after graduation. Apparently, Richie sought out Jerrica using Twitter (yay for social media!) and the two fell in love through a series of letters they penned to each other while Richie was serving in the military far away from Jerrica. Love letters really are a forgotten art, but not for these two old fashioned souls, and it’s beautiful to see something bloom out of pen and paper as lovely and sweet as their love for each other. One can tell they really complete each other and make each other happy- their smiles were ear to ear all day long. Absolutely sure of each other, absolutely in love, and absolute the two nicest warmest people to get to know.
Jerrica and Richie’s wedding decor centered on Americana, personal memories and touches, gorgeous red and white flower arrangements and centerpieces showcasing their engagement photos. I was so excited to see a blooming almond orchard next door to the Branch and Vine, as it’s been a dream of mine to shoot a wedding in one for a very long time. How magical are these photos of the two of them, totally smitten, kissing and laughing in the first flush of spring bloom? Kinda makes your heart melt.
Such an amazing country wedding for an incredible couple. I feel so special to have been a part of it and I wish these two all the best in life, wether they are sharing a home or writing love letters from afar. Life is a great adventure and so is love.
